Exciting News:
The international network IN SITU – European Platform for Artistic Creation in Public Space – co-founded by La Strada Graz in 2003 – continues its journey in 2025 and has secured another four years of support from the European Commission’s Creative Europe Programme.
To mark its 20th anniversary, IN SITU will shine a spotlight on itself with the program “PLATFORM 2025-2028.” Under the leadership of the Creation Center Lieux Publics, this four-year initiative will support 200 Emerging Artists working in public space and unconventional venues across Europe. We are proud to continue shaping the future of art in public space alongside our partners.
We are thrilled to announce the first OPEN CALL for this project:
During the first funding cycle, IN SITU will select 60 Emerging Artists and invite them to develop their artistic projects on a European level. Submissions close on January 31.

We were driven by the passion to bring art to the people very early on. We have always been interested in those artistic works that deal with the place and its inhabitants. For the desire to discover new perspectives, to explore the great themes of our time and the unbroken joy in the search for contemporary forms of artistic expression drive us as much as ever.
La Strada Graz is a cross-disciplinary festival, embracing the rich diversity of artistic forms and formats. It serves as a space for experimentation, both on stage and in public spaces, as well as in other uniquely chosen venues.
