Every time we are confronted with images or news about the disappearance of glaciers on our planet, we experience a physical impact beyond all rational thoughts. The interactive dance piece ICE – UTOPIA is an empathetic exploration of the glacier as a dwindling body – its slow yet steady movement, its sound, its texture, its infinite color variations. At the center of the project are the audience members, who are taken on an immersive journey of interactive images, sounds, and choreographies by the dancer Valentina Moar.
